Our story begins with Yanah.  Yanah was raised in restaurants all
her life under the watchful eyes of her parents, Brent & Joanne.
Jewish food was the cuisine she grew up on.  Lox and Cream Cheese
on Bagels, Olives, Halva, Blintzes, Knishes, Potato Latkes, Matzo Ball
Soup, and so on.
Yanah met her perfect match.  A man named Lars and they fell
madly in love.  They were married.  But sadly,
Lars didn't know a thing about Jewish cuisine.  So he spent a
couple of years with the family business, "BRENT'S RESTAURANT &
DELICATESSEN" in Kailua, Hawaii.  Pretty soon, he could be seen
noshing a big Pastrami Sandwich and Kosher Pickle, drooling over
the Grilled Reuben, and smacking Olives with his Lox & Cream
Cheese on a Bagel.  He learned the art of "Proper Omelet Making"
and became dis-satisfied with anything less.  Lars and Yanah both
realized that this thing called a "New York Deli" is misunderstood.
The word "Deli" can be seen everywhere now, and is not a proper
representation of the authentic experience you might have in New
York City.  They turned to Yanah's father, Brent Brody, "The
expert!!!"  He has over 50 years experience in opening and running
authentic Jewish Style Delicatessens & Restaurants. Every
restaurant he has opened, or assisted in opening has been a huge
success.  Now Lars and Yanah own the first restaurant of their
very own.  Much like the menus found at "Brent's", in Kailua,
"Brent's" in L.A., "Brother's", in Ashland, or "CJ'S" in Honolulu.
"Brodski's"  has the genuine cuisine of any legitimate NY deli and
restaurant started by, "The expert!!!"  How did we come up with
the name,
"Brodski's," you may ask?  While Brody is the family name
of today,
Brodski was the original name of Great Grandpa Samuel
Brodski.  He came on a boat from Poland and changed his name to
Brody,  so that it would sound more "American."  Back to the good
old name, back to the good old ways of serving food.  Authentic,
Genuine, Real Good Noshing!!!
